Community Group Qigong Movement and Sound Bath

***This event occurs every 3rd Monday of each month***

Qigong Movement before the sound bath starts at 5:30pm.

Sound bath starts at 6pm.

You’re welcome to come to both activities or just one of them! Everyone 13 years of age and older is welcome to attend.

Qigong Movement: Participants will learn how to cultivate and balance their qi, or life force energy, through the practice of movements that promote relaxation, flexibility, and strength. In addition, we’ll practice calming our minds and cultivating a sense of inner peace through mindfulness and meditation. I also play a few of my singing bowls to round out the experience.

Qigong movement classes are suitable for all levels. You can stand, sit, or even lie down while practicing Qigong. From beginner to advanced, these movements are a great way to improve overall health and well-being, reduce stress and anxiety, and promote a sense of inner harmony.

Sound Bath: During this one hour session, I will be playing therapeutic singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and other instruments while participants relax and enjoy the experience. This is a perfect way to promote mental clarity, increase focus, and reduce stress and anxiety. Flameless “wax candles” will provide the lighting to make these sound baths more warm and inviting.

Bring:  Bring blankets, pillows, a yoga mat, and whatever you need to be comfortable.  The floor is NOT carpeted.  If you prefer to sit, chairs are provided. Dress in comfy layers.

Location: University Park Methodist Church - Click here for map  (Enter through the back parking lot entrance and take the elevator downstairs to a VERY large room!)

Cost: Donation Based (For reference - the full value of one group session is $25 per person. I want everyone to be able to experience these sessions regardless of their financial situation. Therefore, if you’re able to energetically exchange the full value because you have the financial means, please do so because that greatly supports me to continue to serve the community. If you’re not able to, please still come as you are and contribute what you can, even if it’s a smile or open attitude.)
